IT giant Hewlett-Packard has begun offering new IT consulting services designed to advise CIOs on both cloud strategies and mergers and acquisitions.
According to the company, the HP Strategic IT Advisory Services will help chief information officers to build an IT strategy and innovate business services based on cloud computing, enterprise architecture and service management.
“When CIOs are measured against enterprise objectives, they look for partners to help them craft and implement their technology strategy,” said Arthur Filip, vice president and general manager of Technology Consulting at HP said in a statement as reported on CRN (opens in new tab).
“HP Strategic IT Advisory Services fill the gap between business and technology consulting by putting clients on the path to deliver enterprise objectives through technology,” he added.
Under the new consulting scheme, HP will be able to deliver IT strategy and transformation sevices, strategic service management, advice on enterprise-level architecture and help CIOs derive greater business value from complex business mergers.
HP also cited a new Gartner research which established that innovation accomplishments will be among the top three selection criteria for new CIOs in the future. The study also revealed that information technology will be a key driver in enterprises' future growth and profitability..
