Man Unwittingly Live Tweets US Raid On Osama

The death of the world’s most wanted terrorist, the mastermind of the 9/11 attack along with a number of other terrorist strikes all across the globe - Osama Bin Laden has witnessed the rise of another man who has become famous for unknowingly live blogging the US attack on Osama’s compound.

Till yesterday, Sohaib Athar, a graduate from the Preston University, was just another IT contractor “taking a break from the rat-race by hiding in the mountains with his laptops".

But on that fateful night, as choppers stared hovering across the Abbotabad sky, the IT professional turned into a live twitter-blogger. Little did he know that he was unwittingly broadcasting the US attack on Osama bin Laden.

Athar’s first twit for the eventful night was posted at 7:58 pm, and it read: “Helicopter hovering above Abbottabad at 1AM (is a rare event).” He added, "Go away helicopter - before I take out my giant swatter :-/."

The next tweet from Athar, perhaps for the first time hinted towards something really serious was about to take place. It read: “A huge window shaking bang here in Abbottabad Cantt. I hope its not the start of something nasty :-S”.

The tweets continued, Athar obviously unaware of the ground reality of the situation. After he finally became aware of the situation the next morning, he twitted: “Uh oh, now I'm the guy who live-blogged the Osama raid without knowing it”.
