Software maker Adobe has dished out the version 5.5 of its Creative Suite development and designing application bundle, which focuses on mobile application development.
The Creative Suite 5.5 includes all of Adobe’s leading development and design software including Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Acrobat, Flash Builder Premium, Flash Catalyst, Flash Professional, Dreamweaver, Premiere and After Effects.
According to the company, the new software suite comes with enhanced capabilities for creating HTML 5 and Flash based mobile applications. Adobe said that developers will be able to exploit the Flash Professional CS5.5, Flash Builder 4.5 Premium and Flex 4.5 tools that come with the software suite.
The company also said that developers using the suite will find it easier to make apps for Google’s Android, RIM’s Blackberry tablet OS and Apple’s iOS platform.
“Adobe is leading the charge for HTML5 authoring with new capabilities in Creative Suite 5.5 that will radically enhance the delivery of HTML content across multiple browsers – on the desktop, tablets and Smartphones,” David Wadhwani, senior vice president and general manager, Creative and Interactive Solutions at Adobe, said in a statement.
“For creators of mobile apps on iOS, Android or BlackBerry Tablet OS, our latest Flash tools deliver stunning high-performance apps, without having to start from scratch for every device,” he added.
