Mobile phone network Vodafone has announced the shipping date of the first dual-core Android HTC Sensation handset, along with the tariff price of £35 a month.
HTC’s Sensation arrives with a Gorilla glass 4.3-inch qHD 540x960 Super LCD touch screen, whilst being powered by a Qualcomm MSM 8260 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor.
On-board is 1GB of storage and a dual flash LED 8 megapixel camera that is capable of 1080p HD video recording, whilst the handsets runs from Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 with the new HTC Sense 3.0 overlay.
HTC’s Sensation comes with a new video service known as HTC Watch, which allows for videos to be rented or bought with the media playable as it starts to download with content available as high as 1080p HD.
Vodafone jointly launched the Sensation handset with HTC where it was believed to be exclusive to that network. The mobile phone network Three has now made public it will also be carrying the device, presumably just after Vodafone exclusivity has passed.
Vodafone is carrying the HTC dual-core Sensation on a contract for £35 a month, over a 24-month period that is accompanied by 900 minutes, an unlimited text message bundle and a 750MB data allowance.
