Hacktivist collective Anonymous has once again denied any involvement in the theft of credit card details from Sony's PlayStation Network.
In reply to a letter from the US government yesterday, Sony pointed out that, as part of their investigations, their security experts had uncovered a file which contained the words 'Anonymous' and 'we are legion', effectively blaming Anonymous for the attack.
Today a press release has been issued by one of the movement's 'leaders' which denies all responsibility for stealing user data or leaving cryptic messages.
The statement insists that the 'distributed and decentralised' group's 'leadership' has never condoned the theft of credit card details.
