Mimecast, a cloud email management firm, announced that it wants its partner channel to take full advantage of the new Microsoft Office 365 suite, scheduled to be released towards the final quarter of 2011.
In an exclusive briefing to the website Microscope, Nessa Lynchehaun, the new channel director for the UK and Ireland, said that the company is currently working on introducing some minor changes in the vendor’s partner programme, to make sure that they can best exploit the upcoming Office 365 suite.
She also said that her company is optimistic about the upcoming Office 365 suite creating new opportunities for partners to shift their clients onto new platforms.
"We're going to keep the cloud messaging strong, and will be running joint events with Microsoft to open up bigger services opportunities," said Lynchehaun. "I see our role as helping partners get comfortable with the cloud."
Mimecast currently currently has over 100 partners across the UK and Ireland, including a number of resellers, as well as system integrators and carriers. Some big names in the company’s existing partner list includes UK Value Added Resellers Softcat, Kileway, Eurodata, Logica etc.
