Three has quietly added the One Plan as a SIM only tariff with a minimum contract period of one month for a mere £25 per month, a deal that will suit those looking to keep their handsets and unwilling to be tied to long term contracts.
For the price, you get 2000 minutes, 5000 texts, all you can eat data, 5000 three-to-three minutes, voicemail, free MSN and Skype plus a free PAYG SIM for a friend; the offer is valid both for normal and microSIM.
Arguably, it is a much better deal than the SIM 600 deal which offers only 600 minutes, 3000 texts and 1GB internet for just £5 less. Like the original The One Plan, unrestricted tethering is allowed, something that no other mobile phone operator currently offers.
In a statement to ITProPortal, Three Mobile said "We have always allowed tethering with The One Plan contract and are delighted to be able to extend this offer to all customers using The One Plan on a rolling contract."
The One Plan was originally launched as a traditional subsidised model back in July 2010 and since then, only Talk Mobile has offered a similar "all-you-can-eat-data" package albeit without tethering.
We've also asked them whether they will be proposing a one-year version of this offer for £20 per month. We will update the article should we receive any additional details.
