Both the HTC Salsa and the ChaCha, which were announced back in February at MWC, have been put on preorder on Amazon.co.uk, with both handsets set to be launched towards the end of June 2011 if the online retailer's product page is to be believed.
They both have a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM SoC clocked at 600MHz, 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, Android OS 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense, a five megapixel camera with AF and flash, VGA front camera, a microSD card reader and four sensors.
The Chacha has a smaller screen (2.6-inch with HVGA resolution) and a smaller 1250mAh battery, but is lighter and thinner than the Salsa and has a full QWERTY keyboard like the RIM Blackberry Curve.
As for the Salsa, it has a bigger 3.4-inch touchscreen with HVGA resolution. As it stands though, it is unlikely that either will be best sellers because they are priced too high, given that their main selling point is a Facebook button.
