Popular high-street mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse is now carrying the update to the best-selling thin Motorola RAZR handset – the Motorola Gleam, for under £50.
The Motorola Gleam is the first RAZR style of handset made by Moto since 2007, where this new phone was only announced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year and is already here.
Motorola Mobility’s Gleam tips up in a slim 13.8mm thin case, with a traditional RAZR flip phone look and functionality that will be familiar to most.
The 2011 RAZR model comes with a built in FM radio, with MP3 playback ability, a 2megapixel camera with video capture and landscape video viewing.
Moto’s Gleam arrives with a 2.4-inch 240x320 QVGA display, with text and email messaging, a WAP 2.0 browser and support for 16GB microSD cards.
There’s no support for WIFI or 3G and the phone only has dual band GSM access, although there is Bluetooth 2.12 with EDR and AD2DP support.
A second screen doesn’t accompany the new version of the RAZR mobile on the rear of the clamshell, instead there’s an LED Matrix on the outside of the phone that displays notification messages through the transparent case.
The Carphone Warehouse is retailing the Motorola Gleam in the colours graphite grey and thistle, from £49.95 on pay as you go deals on Orange and T-Mobile.
