On-line retailer Play.com has opened up pre-ordering of HTC’s first ever dual-core HTC Sensation Android mobile phone, with a price tag of £499.99 and an arrival date of the end of June.
Mobile phone network Vodafone jointly launched the HTC Sensation, where it was believed to be exclusive to that very network. The mobile phone network Three has now made public it will also be carrying the device, where the handset will now also be available sans an accompanying contract with Play.com
HTC’s Sensation arrives with a Gorilla glass 4.3-inch qHD 540×960 Super LCD touch screen, whilst being powered by a Qualcomm MSM 8260 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor.
HTC’s Sensation comes with a new video service known as HTC Watch, which allows for videos to be rented or bought with the media playable as it starts to download with content available as high as 1080p HD.
On-board is 1GB of storage and a dual flash LED 8 megapixel camera that is capable of 1080p HD video recording, whilst the handset runs from Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 with the new HTC Sense 3.0 overlay.
Vodafone will be carrying the HTC dual-core Sensation on a contract for £35 a month or with Play.com for just under £500.
