Leaked firmware for the upcoming HTC Holiday, which should debut on AT&T shortly, has confirmed that the device will supplant the HTC Sensation as the best HTC smartphone in its portfolio.
According to the details obtained by PhoneArena, the smartphone will have a 4.5-inch screen, just like the Samsung Infuse 4G and will come with a resolution of 960x540 pixels.
It will also sport a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8660 SOC clocked at 1.2GHz, the same as the Sensation, 1GB RAM and the same camera as its smaller brother.
Other features include BT 3.0, Wi-Fi and Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread. No details were given as to whether the device will be launched in the UK and at what price.
However, given that the HTC Sensation is already available in the UK for less than £30, there's still space for an even more powerful smartphone.
Let's just hope that HTC manages to keep the phone's dimensions as reasonable as possible and makes the bezel as slim as it can.
Compared to the Samsung Infuse 4G which will also land on AT&T soon, the Holiday has a higher resolution, twice the number of cores and is powered by Gingerbread.
Both however fail to match the 5-inch monster from Dell, the Streak, which was actually quite portable.
