According to a new report, Apple employees add far more to the profitability of the company than their counterparts in Google, Intel, Microsoft or other key technology brands.
Pingdom, a leading Web Metrics firm made the revelation citing the data from Yahoo Finance. The report by Pingdom also says that the every single Apple employee has contributed approximately $419,528 (£258,885) in the last one year to the company’s net profit.
"One reason (of several) that profit per employee is such an interesting metric is because it gives you a number that doesn't depend so much on the size of the company. In other words, it becomes easy to compare companies of different sizes," Pingdom wrote on its blog.
Google employees lagged behind their Apple Inc. counterparts by almost $83,000 per employee, while the performance by the Microsoft work-force was even more disappointing with each of their employee earning the company a net profit of $244,831 in the last 12 months.
"In 2008, Google was leading this list, but now Apple has surpassed it by quite some margin. This isn't because it's not going well for Google, but rather because it's going spectacular for Apple", the blog added.
