Mobile virtual network operator Talk Mobile has announced it is now carrying the low cost social networking INQ Cloud Touch handset free, on a £12 a month tariff.
The INQ Cloud Touch is the successor to the very first social networking INQ 1 mobile from 2008, along with the follow-up handsets - the INQ Mini 3G and Chat 3G, from late 2009.
Talk Mobile's an off shoot from Carphone Warehouse and runs from the Vodafone network, whilst being able to offer deals that the main mobile phone network can't and in conjunction with the parent company's handset offers.
INQ’s Cloud Touch is the first handset of theirs to run from the Google Android OS, along with being their very first touch screen mobile phone.
Facebook is touted as key to the handset, whilst being geared up for people that use that particular social networking site with more thorough integration with FB than seen ever before.
The Cloud Touch arrives with a 3.5-inch HGVA display, a 600Mhz processor, with a 5 megapixel camera and runs from the Android ‘Froyo’ 2.2 OS - where Gingerbread could be run on the handset, at a later date.
Talk Mobile's contract accompanying the INQ Cloud Touch includes 200 anytime minutes, along with a 200 text message bundle, an unlimited mobile internet data allowance and is exclusively available online.
One Mobile Ring caught up with INQ at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year, where we captured a hands-on walkthrough of the Cloud Touch on video – which can be seen here.
