Nokia N8 Smartphone Price Drops To £240

The Nokia N8 has been discounted to a mere £240 by Orange, nearly half the £400 it originally cost when it was launched nearly one year ago.

As with the other deal highlighted earlier today, this one is served by Dialaphone and is on the barebone Dolphin 10 package which means that you only get 30 minutes, unlimited texts and will be tied to a £10 per month contract over two years.

In other words, you can pay for the phone over two years without any interest. It is ideal for anyone on Orange looking to get the N8 and would not mind swapping their SIM card.

Obviously, you will be able to unlock the N8 fairly easily for a price and put in any SIM you want. To be honest, we have been very critical of the Nokia N8 since the beginning, even saying that it was no better than the antiquated Nokia N900.

But since then, the price of the N8 has fallen significantly including that £80 drop in the last two weeks. The phone comes with one of the best cameras found on a mobile device, a 12-megapixel snapper with Carl Zeiss optics and a Xenon flash.

It has a 3.5-inch AMOLED screen with a 640x360 pixel capacitive screen, 16GB internal memory, a 1200mAh battery, a HDMI port, microUSB, runs Symbian^3 and is powered by a Broadcom ARM11-based SoC clocked at 600MHz.
