Forget The iPad 2: CPW To Sell 3G Galaxy Tab For £249?

Carphone Warehouse has a massive sale starting from tomorrow at 9am, where they will be offering scores of products at incredibly low prices including a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3G for only £249.

An anonymous tipster who apparently works for the company posted two pages worth of deals from Carphone Warehouse on deals website HotUKdeals; although this might be a fake document, it is very unlikely that someone would go to so much trouble just to get a kick out of it.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is one of the more attractive deals, and even after nine months remains a very good tablet. The 3G version currently costs £354 so CPW's clearance sale offers a £105 saving. Add in another 16GB microSD card for around £16 and you've got a 32Gb 3G tablet for £265, that's less than half price compared to an equivalent (albeit bigger) Apple iPad 2 tablet.

It comes with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with a WSVGA resolution, a 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird SoC based on ARM's Cortex-A8 technology, 512MB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, Bluetooth, Android 2.2 Froyo, Wi-Fi, HDMI, A-GPS, a microSD card reader, a 3.2-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front facing one.

Other deals listed on the leaflet include a £79 Microsoft Xbox Kinect Sensor, a £199 Dell Streak 3G, a £299 Toshiba 40-inch LCD television, a £99.50 Acer D260 netbook and a £50 LG Optimus handset.
