Amazon has cut the price of the Microsoft Kinect motion controller down to £79, a price that includes three months membership to Xbox LIVE Gold worth £11.99 on its own, which means that the Kinect alone costs £67.01.
That's nearly half price compared to the recommended retail price of £132.76 and includes Kinect Adventures and free delivery; in comparison, Argos sells the Kinect with Joyride for a staggering £124.99.
The deal, which can be found here, doesn't come with any strings attached and it is not surprising therefore that the Kinect has been one of the best selling gaming items on Amazon lately.
You can bring the price of the Kinect down even further by grabbing a free £20 Amazon gift voucher when you subscribe for a 30-day free trial from Lovefilm, the movie on demand service which is part of Amazon.
The Kinect was released back in November 2010 and has been one of the fastest selling consumer electronics pieces of hardware ever, on a par with the likes of the Nintendo Gameboy, the Walkman and the Apple iPod.
The supermarket Asda was the first to drop the price of the Kinect to £79 but ran out of stock very quickly. As for the 250GB Xbox 360 gaming console, it can be had from as little as £159 from Currys which is £1 less than at Amazon.
