Mobile phone network Vodafone has announced it is exclusively carrying the HTC Desire S in the colour of red, on price plans that start from £30 a month.
The HTC Desire S available with Vodafone matches the colour associated with the branding of the mobile phone network, where that particular case to the handset won’t be found on any other carrier.
HTC’s Desire S arrives with a 3.7-inch 480x800 touch screen, with Qualcomm’s new 1GHz Snapdragon MSM8255 processor, 1.1 GB of internal storage, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera and a rear-facing 5MP variant that runs from Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 with the HTC Sense overlay.
Vodafone’s ‘red’ HTC Desire S is being sold on tariffs with 600 minutes, an unlimited text message bundle and a 500MB data allowance for £30 a month.
There is also a lower priced contract on offer, at £25 a month with the handset costing £99, where there’s 100 minutes, 500 text messages and a 500MB mobile data bundle accompanying that deal.
One Mobile Ring took stock of the HTC Desire S before it was launched at Mobile World Congress, where we published a hands-on walkthrough in pictures here and a hands-on video walkthrough from Barcelona – with an initial thoughts review, seen here.
