Mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson has announced a series of new games coming to the Xperia ‘PlayStation’ handset, which includes Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard along with 20 other titles.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play has the ability to play PlayStation quality games, with a fast processor and dedicated slide-out game controls and in the same way other handsets have keyboards.
Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard is now exclusively on the Xperia PLAY, whilst the Android version of the game was launched on Friday it will be free to download in June and July for Western European customers.
Twenty other games are being showcased at the computer games show E3 this week in America, which now adds to the 60 other titles available.
Amongst the games is Minecraft, with over eight million registered users announced to date and over 50,000 new players joining every day.
Other new Android titles that are exclusive to the Xperia PLAY are Battlefield Bad Company 2 by Electronic Arts, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Shadow Vanguard by Gameloft, Desert Winds by Southend Interactive, Ruined by Bigpoint, Icebreaker by NaturalMotion, Sleepy Jack by SilverTree Media, Cracking Sands by Polarbit, Armageddon Squadron 2 by Polarbit, An unnamed fighting game from Khaeon Gamestudio.
New games that are coming soon are Pocket Legends by Spacetime Studios, Star Legends: The Black Star Chronicles by Spacetime Studios, Eternal Legacy by Gameloft, Guns ’n’Glory 2 by HandyGames, Dungeon Hunter 2 by Gameloft, Pocket RPG by Tasty Poison Games, D.A.R.K. developed by Gamelab, Samurai II: Vengeance by MADFINGER Games, Vendetta Online by Guild Software, Order & Chaos - Gameloft, Happy Vikings by Handy Games, A game with BALLS by Puppy Punch Productions and Lumines by Connect2Media.
