Expansion pack comes to Xperia Play

Joint Swedish-Japanese mobile phone manufacturing venture Sony Ericsson has unveiled at the Electronic Entertainment Expo ‘E3’ the Xperia Play Experience Pack, which brings with it a docking station and a series of games for the PlayStaion mobile phone.

The Sony Ericsson experience pack XP151 is an expansion pack for the Play that extends its usefulness, by bundling hardware from SE and software from game developer’s Gameloft.

Included within the retail package is the DK300 multimedia docking station for the Xperia Play, along with a pocket USB cable and a music cable for connecting up to an amp.

Also bundled within the experience pack is a voucher for downloading three free games from Gameloft, which are Uno, Real Football 2011, Modern Combat 2 : Black Pegasus, Let’s Golf! 2, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction, Brothers In Arms 2: Global Front, N.O.V.A. 2 – Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance and Eternal Legacy.

The games are downloadable by using the QR-code included within the pack, or from the URL provided together with a voucher and activation code.

SE’s expansion pack’s multimedia dock expands the Xperia play by turning it into a clock radio or office desk stand, whilst always having the phone charging for more intense game play with those three free games.

No prices have been unveiled to the cost for the extension pack to the Sony Ericsson Xperia play, but we expected prices to be made available soon as the Xp151 webpage has gone live here (opens in new tab).
