Hewlett Packard has announced new additions to its AppSystem offerings to make it easier for companies to make more sense of their growing data.
According to a report on V3, the AppSystems appliance line has got the new Data Warehouse Appliance which has been designed to enhance the SQL Server 2008 R2 databases. The company said that the Data Warehouse Appliance will be able to scale its memory capacities from 38TB to 500TB.
The company has also launched the Vertica Analytics System appliance for the SQL database platform. HP said that the appliance was capable of allowing businesses to analyse the information stored in the database in real-time.
“In a world where enterprises must instantly react to changing markets, clients are turning to HP Converged Infrastructure to dramatically improve their agility,” said Dave Donatelli, executive vice president and general manager, Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking, HP.
“The new solutions announced today extend the benefits of convergence to deliver new levels of speed, simplicity and efficiency that enable clients to capitalize and anticipate change.” he added.
HP, at the HP Discover event held in Las Vegas, also announced the HPCloudSystem platform, which allows businesses to build and create public, private and hybrid clouds and the HP VirtualSystem platform.
