Xbox Live’s Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has shed some more light into Microsoft’s earlier revelation about the upcoming upgrade for the Xbox 360’s dashboard.
The company had earlier disclosed that the new avatar for the market leading gaming console will feature cloud saving, voice control support as well as Bing search. It also said that the updates would hit the market sometime this autumn.
According to the “Major”, the new dashboard is going to be “Simpler. Cleaner. Easier to navigate.”
“With the addition of new entertainment content on Xbox LIVE and our commitment to continuously improving the overall Xbox experience, we’ve updated the dashboard with a new look and feel that makes it even more open, inviting and intuitive to navigate,” he said.
The updated dashboard will include integrated Bing services, allowing users to search Hulu Plus, ESPN, Netfix content from the console. According to Major Nelson, users can easily search movies, games, sports, TV shows from Xbox and Kinect.
“We are committed to bringing voice (support for Xbox Live members) to eight additional markets by the end of this year,” Major Nelson added explaining more about the proposed inclusion of “voice chat support” in Xbox’s dashboard.
