Vodafone leaks BlackBerry handset

Mobile phone network Vodafone has published a video of the yet-to-be-released Research In Motion BlackBerry Bold 9900, in a hands on walkthrough that highlights the mobile phone’s features

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 was announced in May at RIM’s BlackBerry World event in Orlando, Florida, with a traditional RIM keyboard, a touch screen, the new BlackBerry 7 OS and the look of the very first Bold device from 2008.

The original Bold 9000 dimensions came in at 114mm in length, 66mm wide and was 14mm thick, whilst the new 9900 comes in at 115mm by 66mm and 10.5mm thin – all of which is very similar to the first mobile, along with its overall appearance.

BlackBerry Bold 9900 arrives with a 2.8-inch 640x480 287 dpi capacitive touch screen display, a full QWERTY keyboard, with an optical trackpad, whilst running from a 1.2 GHz processor, with 8GB of on-board memory, built in NFC technology and a 5megapixel camera that supports 720p HD video recording.

Research In Motion expected the new BlackBerry Bold 9900 to be available from the beginning of the summer, although it’s been reportedly delayed until September time.
