Facebook Tattoo Lady Got A Fake Tattoo

A video of a Dutch women getting 152 of her Facebook friends tattooed on her arm is nothing more than advertising stunt.

Last week, a Dutch user uploaded a video of herself on YouTube in which see could be seen getting a tattoo on her arm which comprised of Facebook profile pictures of 152 of her closest friends on Facebook.

“Of course I gave it a lot of thought. These are not all my friends. Just the people I care most about. I got their permission and they were very proud to be on it. To me it represents who I am right now and the time we live in. And of course I love the looks of it,” the woman explained.

The video, which received more than 500,000 views, went viral after the mainstream media got to know about it. However, Rotterdam-based tattoo artist Dex Moelker reportedly told the Dutch Media that the tattoo was not permanent but was a stick-on.

“It is a try out tattoo, a transfer, that washes off in a couple of days,” Moelker told the Dutch media, revealing that the tattoo only took a single session comprising of a couple of hours for completion not the 30 hours claimed on the video, GMA News (opens in new tab) reports.

The marketing stunt was done by Pretty Social, a Dutch firm that offers Facebook branded merchandise.
