The BlackBerry Playbook is officially launched in the UK today, but one important retailer won't be stocking the business-centric tablet.
Engadget is reporting that subscribers who had expressed an interest in the underwhelming iPad contender have received a 'communiqué' that states that the telecoms giant won't be stocking the seven-inch touchscreen device because, "unfortunately there are some issues with the end to end customer experience."
We've reached out to all of our on-line chums to see if any of them have received such a correspondence but have so far drawn a blank.
An O2 spokesman was only willing to tell us, "We currently have no plans to release the BlackBerry PlayBook on O2 – we’ll continue to look at all RIM’s products to make sure we’re offering our customers a range of the best products on the market."
It might have something to do with the fact that, if you don't own a BlackBerry mobile phone, you can't do many of the things you'd expect a tablet PC to do. Like send and receive emails.
If you've received an email or letter from O2 regarding the the availability of the PlayBook we'd love to hear from you. Drop us a line in the comments section below or hit the email link on this page.
