Technology giant IBM has introduced its new IBM Connections software with an eye on expanding its social-business capabilities, the company announced.
According to IBM, this move by the company will eventually enable its clients from all across the globe to take full advantage of IBM’s own social networking platform, which brings along with it real-time compliance abilities, for their own growth.
The new IBM Connection software will play a vital role in empowering organisations to constantly monitor and trace data “on the fly throughout their organizations”, an IBM official said, according to the website eWeek (opens in new tab).
As claimed by the IBM official, this will eventually allow organisations to analyse and discover the data in real time with the help of the IBM Connections active compliance service.
"The benefits of social business are too great to ignore," Alistair Rennie, general manager of collaboration solutions at IBM, claimed.
"With these new advancements around compliance enablement, a social business can confidently activate networks of people to use a variety of collaborative tools, to improve and accelerate innovation," he added.
Also, bringing more glory to the Armonk, New York based tech giant, a recent report by IDC placed IBM at the top-spot in the list of world leaders of social platform software for the years 2009 and 2010.
