No Puccini Tablet Coming On Monday, HTC Says

HTC has denied that there will be a product announcement on Monday after being contacted earlier today by ITProPortal.com.

A spokesperson for the company confirmed that there will be an event, which is to mark the move by the Taiwanese handset manufacturer to new, bigger and shinier offices in Slough.

She reaffirmed the fact that rumours leaked by a Dutch website yesterday were false and that therefore, the HTC Puccini, as well as the other devices we're all eagerly awaiting, won't be coming any time soon.

Our contact declined to reveal when the next wave of HTC devices will hit the UK although she did end our conversation with a cheeky, "stay tuned".

The HTC Puccini was supposed to be the follow-up to the Flyer but swaps its 7-inch screen for a 10-inch 1280x800 pixel one.

The rest is expected to remain the same (apart from the stylus); a single core Qualcomm Snapdragon system on chip clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB RAM, up to 64GB, Wi-Fi, 3G, two cameras, Android Honeycomb, a microSD card, GPS and Bluetooth.
