An official job posting has shed some light onto search giant Google’s plan to open up a new gaming division.
Google's job posting states that it is currently looking for a “project manager” to operate the company’s new venture, dubbed Games at Google. It also claimed that the new profile will offer the selected candidate "a rare opportunity to grow a brand-new business.”
There were already a fair number of reports that Google would be coming up with its own social gaming venture, which has now been almost confirmed by the new job posting.
However, it is not yet known whether this new gaming platform will be aimed at Android, at Internet users, or the upcoming Chrome OS.
The job posting reads that Google is looking for a technical, game-enthusiast and strategic product manager for running its gaming strategy.
"You will design strategies for game distribution and discovery, player identity, game mechanics, and more,” the job-posting read, TechRadar reports.
"In addition to designing a great user experience and building out key partnerships, you will be significantly influencing Google's social platform as you work directly with a critical set of early adopters, game developers.”
