Team Fortress 2 Goes Free, Rated Highest In FPS

Team Fortress 2 can now be played forever by PC and Mac owners without paying any fee.

Valve, the maker of gaming title Team Fortress 2 has rolled out its famous and successful video game to game lovers across the world, for free, reports Computer and Videogames (opens in new tab).

According to the information on Valve’s website Team Fortress 2 has been rated the highest for Free to Play Structure (FPS) ever since the FPS went live. The developers inform that the FPS accounts are of two types, free and premium. The website automatically upgrades the gamers who have paid to play, to the premium level.

“Extra features including access to rare and cosmetic items through random item drops, the ability to store more items in your backpack, and more powerful trading and crafting abilities. Otherwise, the gameplay experience will be identical for both account." the game developers informs on the website (opens in new tab).

The game which was launched nearly four years ago and has received more than 200 updates over the years has received its biggest content update ever since its release. The update is now available for download.

Developers aim at dethroning Counter Strike to become the number one multi player game online by re-launching Team Fortress 2 with a massive update and that too, for free.
