Images of the next generation Google TV, accompanied by set top boxes have finally surfaced over the Web.
The technology website Geek.com has disclosed images of the Google TV 2.0 ‘fishtank’ on its website (opens in new tab). The images of the TV and the set top box combo, which was shipped by Google to its developers just recently, are no doubt, going to be the centre of attraction for all Google TV enthusiasts in the days to come.
As revealed by many fans as well as critics, the earlier offering by the Mountain View, California based tech giant in the first generation of Google TV was rather disappointing. The program is not yet public and there are only about 50 people in the program. However, Google intends to change that with the refreshed product, which is expected to hit the market pretty soon.
“There’s very little in the box that a Fishtank developer receives from Google. The shipping box contains an Intel CE4100 reference platform loaded with Google TV v2.0 beta, a power cord and a keyboard. The device itself is 12.5? wide x 11? deep x 2.5? tall,” Russell Holly of Geek.com claims in his report (opens in new tab).
