Vodafone gets the HTC Evo 3D phone

Mobile phone network Vodafone has unveiled it will be carrying HTC’s first 3D handset, when the handset arrives next month.

Vodafone has made public this news from their ‘Coming Soon’ page on the UK website, where it was first believed the mobile phone network would be carrying the LG Optimus 3D handset instead.

Evo 3D arrives with a 4.3-inch qHD stereoscopic touch screen display, which creates the 3D effect and the media can be captured from the dual 5 megapixel camera in high definition. The mobile phone is powered by a 1.2Ghz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, with just 1GB of on-board storage.

Running the HTC 3D handset is Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3, with the HTC Sense overlay to the platform that has been enhanced to take advantage of the 3D capabilities of the phone.

Vodafone hasn’t announced any prices or tariff details for the HTC Evo 3D as yet, but we expected to hear more from them soon.

Vodafone is currently selling the flagship HTC Sensation phone on a £34 a month contract with 300 minutes, an unlimited text message bundle and a 750MB data allowance; One Mobile Ring believes this offer could be matched, with the Evo 3D.
