Call of Duty: Black Ops has beaten current best seller Modern Warfare 2 to become the all-time best selling game in the United Kingdom.
Gfk Chart Track has revealed that Call of Duty : Black Ops which was launched in November last year, has become the current leader in the gaming market of UK, leaving behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Metro reports.
The Chart Track states that by June 25, total sales of the game title in the entire UK was 3,722,411 units whereas Modern Warfare 2 had managed to sell 3,702,410 units in the same time.
The Managing Director of Activision UK Andrew Brown said that this is an outstanding achievement by the team that designed and developed the game, and that the gaming community's judgement is clear.
Interestingly, Tyerach is releasing a new Map pack, the Annihilation, for the game today, while Tyerach’s designer David Vonderhaar has already hinted at another Map Pack to be released soon.
During an interview with tech website Digital Spy Vonderhaar stated, "I can't talk to anything beyond 'Annihilation', but keep your eyes peeled..."
The latest map pack for Microsoft’s Xbox Live has been launched today while packs for PlayStation 3 and personal computers will be released soon.
