Samsung Galaxy S2 has once again beaten Apple’s iPhone to become the most popular phone in the United Kingdom.
According to tech website T3 (opens in new tab), Samsung’s Smartphone, Galaxy S II has left behind Apple’s phenomenal iPhone to grab the number one spot for continuously second month in a row.
As per the sales data provided by web-based comparison and switching service uSwitch, while Samsung’s Galaxy S II and Apple’s iPhone 4 remain unchanged at number one and two positions respectively, various models from HTC dominated the list with six spots in the list of top 10 most popular mobile phones across the UK.
“Samsung can’t rest on its laurels though. The influx of feature-rich phones like the HTC EVO 3D and LG Optimus 3D, both introducing a unique glasses-free 3D viewing experience, could seriously shake things up this summer”, stated Ernest Doku of uSwitch.
He also added that Samsung Galaxy S II has managed to remain at the top because of several lucrative deals and offers provided by the retailers and operators along with the phone. The company believes that an upcoming range of BlackBerry devices along with surging hype about the launch of iPhone 5 can really tumble the things this season.
