Updated News App Launched By 'The Times' For iPhone And iPad

The Times has launched an updated version of its application for Apple’s iPhone and the iPad tablet PC device.

Tech website Know Your Mobile (opens in new tab) has reported that British weekly newspaper “The Times” has released the latest versions of its applications dedicated to iPhone and iPad. Also The Times has made the apps for both the devices available for free of cost only for a certain period of time.

According to the news report, the latest apps will allow users to save a copy of the news stories and go through them later while offline. Also, users can now mark the stories according to their choice.

The app will enable users to select a particular section of the newspaper or story of the day without wasting much time.

The Times has made the apps available to its users free of charge for a limited period of time, following which subscription for each week’s paper will cost users only £2. The US users can search for app titled as 'The Times of London'.

The main aim of launching the app was enabling users to read the content by adjusting the font size according to their needs, and save paper use for environment conservation. The news app also saves users from the hassle of carrying a bunch of papers around.
