Vodafone exclusively gets Sony Ericsson Xperia neo, in red

Mobile phone network Vodafone has unveiled it is solely carrying the Sony Ericsson Xperia neo mobile phone, in the colour of red - matching the carriers colour schemes.

The news of this announcement came from the Vodafone ‘Coming Soon’ page on their main website, where the Sony Ericsson Xperia neo phone was launched at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year, along with the PlayStation Xperia Play phone and the pro mobile.

This follows a similar branding tact of Vodafone, with the mobile phone network picking up the HTC Desire S exclusively, also in the colour of red.

Sony Ericsson’s Xperia neo arrives running Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 with a 3.7-inch 854x480 FWVGA capacitive touchscreen, with the same reality display and mobile BRAVIA engine as their Arc phone.

The mobile comes with an 8.1 megapixel camera, which is backed by the Exmor R mobile sensor for better image capture in poor light, with a miniHDMI port for playback on a compatible screen.

Vodafone hasn’t released any pricing or tariff details to the Sony Ericsson Xperia neo, as yet. However, the network is carrying the Xperia arc on a £31 a month contract, with 600 minutes, an unlimited text message bundle and a 500MB data allowance – which One Mobile Ring believes could be matched with the Xperia neo.
