The Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has revealed that the company will soon add a new feature to the social networking platform.
Mark Zuckerberg, founder and chief executive of Facebook, said that the company is planning to launch an ‘awesome’ new feature for Facebook, coming week, reports Reuters.
During his visit to Facebook’s Seattle office, Zuckerberg told media reporters that the upcoming feature has been developed by his team of 40 at Seattle’s office, the only major centre of the company other than its main campus in Palo Alto, California.
Although Zuckerberg declined to give any other details, Andrew Bosworth, company’s director of Engineering said, "We are working on a number of exciting things that we have not yet announced, but stay tuned for next week,"
News about development of mobile products at Facebook have been making the rounds on tech websites and blogs for past few weeks and the announcement has lead to heightened speculations about the launch of an application either for Apple’s iPad or iPhone.
Facebook is estimated to have crossed the 750 million users mark by now. However, the company has made no announcement about it. With the launch of Google+, Facebook might be planning something big to steal the limelight from its new competitor.
