IT and communications services provider Logicalis has moved to acquire data centre solutions provider Netarx for $34 million.
Michigan based Netarx, which is a Cisco Gold Partner, offers a wide portfolio comprising of IT solutions which include data centre solutions, collaboration, managed services and infrastructure design solutions.
The company, which was founded back in 1997, has been generating annual revenue of up to $60 million.
Logicalis said that the acquisition will allow it to expand its Midwestern presence by enhancing its IT consulting and services business and managed services division. Under the deal, Netarx clients will be able to access cloud computing and data center management solutions offered by Logicalis.
“This acquisition further enhances our service portfolio in the US, with a services offering that goes beyond the infrastructure design and lifecycle management, and takes us to different areas of our customers’ business,” said Ian Cook, Chief Executive of Logicalis Group.
“This move accelerates the development of a ‘Business Transformation Service’ offering which combines deep technical knowledge with practical IT business application,” he added.
The acquisition is more about expanding Logicalis’s presence geographically, allowing it to offer services in Arizona, Indiana and Ohio, apart from Michigan.
