Xperia ray arriving in August

Popular high-street mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse has now listed the new Sony Ericsson Xperia ray handset as arriving in August, some month before the expected due date.

The Xperia ray was announced towards the end of June, along with two other mobile phones in the Xperia txt and Xperia active.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia ray arrives with a 3.3-inch reality display and mobile BRAVIA engine, a 1Ghz processor and a 4GB microSD card, with an 8.1 megapixel camera and the Exmor R feature that allows for good image capture in low light.

This new mobile phone will tip up running the Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 OS, with the Facebook inside Xperia for better social networking integration on the Sony Ericsson mobile phones and was supposedly due to ship after September.

No prices or tariff details have been announced as yet by CPW, although they are currently carrying the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc SIM free and unlocked for £399.95 or on contracts starting at £25 a month.

The low price plan is on a Vodafone tariff, which is accompanied by 100 minutes, a 500 text message bundle and a 500MB data allowance where One Mobile Ring believes this could very well be matched by Carphone Warehouse for the Xperia ray.
