Mark Zuckerberg Becomes the Most Followed on Google+

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg has become the most followed person on Google’s newly launched Google Plus social networking platform.

The search engine giant launched Google Plus a few days in a limited beta testing phase. The company was forced to stop sending invites after receiving an overwhelming response.

Google Plus is Google’s answer to Facebook, in an attempt to get back at the game after the debacle in the form of Google Buzz.

Many people were not sure whether Zuckerberg will join Google Plus because Google founders are not on Facebook as well, and his move surprised many. Zuckerberg on the hand couldn’t figure out why everyone was surprised that he had a Google Account.

“Why are people so surprised that I’d have a Google account?” Zuckerberg asked in a text to tech blogger Robert Scoble.

As of now, Mark Zuckerberg is the most followed person on Google Plus, with almost 30,000 people following him. Incidentally, he has more Google Plus followers than Google co-founder and CEO Larry Page, who has close to 20,000 followers.

Zuckerberg is yet to use his Google Plus account as he has not written or posted anything yet expect for creating his own circles.
