Is Sony Planning Pass System for PlayStation Network?

Word on the streets is that hackers’ hot-favourite bulls eye Sony Corp. is going to unveil a new PlayStation Network Pass initiative.

The rumours broke in following the online appearance of a snapshot of the Resistance 3 bundle which was accompanied by a message that clearly hinted towards the availability of the PSN Pass in the foreseeable future..

“PSN Pass Network features only available in countries that have PlayStation Store,” read the message in the Resistance Pass 3 snapshot, tech site (opens in new tab) reports.

If the rumours are, in fact true, it will be obvious that the console giant took the initiative following the footsteps of game developers such as THQ and Electronic Arts. Both of these well established game publishing houses recently made available their own online pass system.

Sony had previously revealed that it would continue offering its support to companies who come up with such initiatives. Also, the company assured users and fans saying that it was planning to launch its own system sometime in the near future. However, as pointed out by various experts, this could well be the time; Sony finally unveiled its much anticipated PSN Pass system.
