Apple has just announced that downloads from its on-line App Store have breached the 15 billion mark.
The company said that 200 million users in 90 countries had helped to reached the milestone, choosing from the 425,000 apps currently on offer.
Apple is thought to have banked close to $1 billion as it takes it's 30 per cent cut of income from third party apps, whose developers have raked in $2.5 billion between them.
Apple noted that it had sold 14 billion apps at WWDC last month which, if our maths is right, means they have punted a billion downloads in a single month.
“In just three years, the revolutionary App Store has grown to become the most exciting and successful software marketplace the world has ever seen,” enthused Apple's head of hawking Philip Schiller.
