UK telecom giant Virgin Media has developed a brand new app for the Android platform that allows the company’s TiVo users to record TV shows remotely.
The app, dubbed Virgin Media TV Guide, is likely to come as a relief for thousands of users of the widely popular TiVo service, as it will enable them to record their favourite TV shows virtually from anywhere, anytime. The app also brings along with it 7 days of scheduled program information, as well as allows users to generate lists of their favourite channels.
“We think Virgin Media’s TiVo Service is the best way to watch TV and our new mobile app enhances that experience by ensuring you’ll never miss recording a programme whilst out and about,” Alex Green, executive director of commercial TV & online at Virgin Media said as cited by GadgetHelpline.
“Our TiVo service already offers the most flexible and comprehensive recording options and features, which this new service complements,” he added.
As of now, TV Guide for Android comes absolutely free in the Android Market. Also, it is highly likely that Apple fans are going to have their share of fun too as Virgin Media prepares to unveil the iOS version of the product shortly.
