Google Inc. has launched the website of its new service called Photovine, however, hardly any detail is available to its worldwide users.
After great reviews for one of its most ambitious social networking projects, Google Plus, the Mountain View, California-based Google Inc. has launched the website of its new photo -based social networking service Photovine.
According to tech website Mashable, the webpage currently hosts only a picture of an iPhone with a one line description along with a support page and privacy policies. If the picture is to be believed, the new service apparently targets iPhone owners instead of Android-based devices.
“Photovine is a community that’s about creating fun and unique collections of photos that we call Vines. (It is) like a constantly growing family of photos connected through a common caption created by you, your friends, and people all over the world” the developers state on its support page. If the service is a part of Google Plus, company has not provided any detail.
Facebook had launched a similar photo sharing service called Colour in March this year, however it seems to have vanished from the scene. The Photovine is a product by Slide, a start up which was acquired by Google last year.
