The word on the street is that Apple Inc is going to unveil their new MacBook Air notebook computers in the coming days, which will be accompanied by a new line of Mac Mini machines.
According to the technology site 9 to 5 Mac, part numbers hinting towards the new MacBook Air models have been recently seen alongside those of an upgraded Mac Mini edition.
The new MacBook Air Machines will feature the speedy Sandy Bridge processors an the new ThunderBolt connector. There had been reports of a new Mac Pro line looming on the horizon that will also be equipped with the ultra-fast I/O connector technology; but these, it seems, could be a bit further off, perhaps next month.
If these rumours are indeed true, the MacBook AIr line is going to be the first product to be shipped with the company’s latest Mac OS X Lion operating system, which has been reported to be becoming available on the Mac App Store today, on Thursday, July 14th. Apple is likely to release the other two products round about the same time, or at least not too long after.
“The new line was rumored to be launching in the last week of July or the first week of August, but it looks like Apple is getting them out earlier (or we just got the part numbers super early, which is unlikely),” Mark Gurman of 9 to 5 Mac, wrote on his report.
