Users Claim Toshiba Thrive Suffers from Sleep Mode Bug

Toshiba Thrive users have been complaining about a bug in the device that prevents it from coming out of the sleep mode.

The forums on Toshiba’s website are filled with complaints from users, in which they can be see moaning about the sleep mode bug.

The users have complained that the white status light keeps blinking even after they press the ON button. The tablet requires a restart to get out of the sleep mode. Some have claimed that removing the battery also helps.

Some of the users on the forums are speculating that the problem lies in the Wi-Fi settings while most of them believe that it has something to do with a firmware update they received recently. Many said that the problem was there when they first bought the device.

“When I leave the thrive in stand by and press the power button it fails r to come on and requires rebooting”, Jim, one of the users on the forums, claimed.

The Toshiba Thrive tablet, which was launched on July 10, comes with a 10.1-inch screen with 1280x800 resolution, 1GB RAM, storage options ranging from 8GB to 32GB and Android 3.1 Honeycomb.

The device also comes with USB support, a front facing 2MP camera and a rear 5 MP camera.
