The massively popular game Angry Birds is soon going to be available in an entirely new 3D format for the users of the new LG smartphone, the Optimus 3D, reports have revealed.
The Optimus 3D is going to be the first ever phone to feature the 3D version of the game. However, the game won’t bring along with it any new adventures, meaning the current 2D interface will merely be upscaled to the 3D format for Optimus 3D users.
The single player puzzle game from the house of Rovio Mobile was launched in December 2009, and ever since, it has shot to the top of the ladder and beyond in the mobile gaming industry.
In fact, today it has become so popular with a massive cult-following, that many would even go so far as to compare it with Super Mario Bros, the ground breaking game by Nintendo released some three decades back in the mid-1980s.
The game is centered around a flock of “suicidal” angry birds who are focused upon killing a group of “evil” pigs, who had stolen their eggs.
The LG Optimus 3D, which is the world's first tri-dual architecture smartphone with full 3D, was launched in June this year, being initially rolled out in Europe.
If everything goes according to plan, Angry Birds enthusiasts are likely to come across the 3D version of their favourite game sometime around this coming October.
