Ubisoft Says Wii U to Change Gaming Industry

While many critics in the gaming industry have openly raised questions about the ability of the next Nintendo console Wii U to survive the onslaughts of the rivals Xbox and PlayStation, Ubisoft - the publisher responsible for massively popular titles such as The Prince of Persia, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon, do not seem to be subscribing to such views.

The CEO of Ubisoft - Mr. Yves Guillemot, in his interview with the gaming website Gamasutra, claimed that the new Nintendo Wii U has the potential to change the entire video gaming industry.

“We feel this console is coming with very innovative features that will change the video game industry and we want to be a part of that,” the Ubisoft CEO said.

The Wii U, with its ‘touchscreen controller’ that allows users to continue playing their games even when the television is switched off, will no doubt bring along with it a fresh approach to the entire gaming industry.

"I love that you have a screen very close to you. You can get information and send it as well. But you don't have to learn too many things," Guillemot added.
