Software giant Microsoft has brought out a demo video for the People Hub feature which will accompany the Windows Phone Mango platform.
Microsoft is expected to release the updated Windows Phone 7 OS sometime in September, although no fixed date is in sight as of now.
According to an article on Know Your Mobile, the new People Hub comes with enhanced Live Tiles and added animations.
With People Hub Microsoft is aiming to make the OS more "people centred", the demo video revealed. One feature allows users to create notification Live Tiles for particular contacts and paste them on your homescreen.
The contact Live Title will allow users to get all call information for that particular contact from the Live Tiles right from the homescreen. The Live Tiles also come with support for Facebook, Twitter and email messages for that contact.
Experts believe that Microsoft is really on to something with the new Mango update, bringing in new features like a faster browser and multi-tasking. The update has been designed to bring Windows Phone 7 on par with Android and iOS.
Couple that with Nokia's hardware, and you’ve got a great device. However, judging by the head start Android and iOS have at the moment, the road ahead for Microsoft will be long and hard.
