On-line retailer Play.com has unveiled the shipping day and cost of the HTC’s first 3D mobile phone, in the HTC Evo 3D – as September 5th and £499.99.
The HTC EVO 3D was initially launched back in March in America, where the Sprint network was first be linked to the handset which was finally announced for the UK at the end of June on Vodafone.
The Evo 3D follows in the same vein as the LG Optimus 3D, where the High Tech Computer Corporation mobile phone can also capture and display 3D pictures and footage and without the need for any glasses.
The key difference between the HTC and LG is that the Evo 3D ships with a 1.2Ghz Qualcomm dual-core processor, whilst the Optimus 3D arrives with a 1Ghz dual-core Texas Instruments CPU.
LG’s phone can also record 2D 1080p HD video, where the HTC mobile can only capture 720p and store media on 1GB of internal storage and the Optimus 3D is accompanied by 8GB.
HTC’s screen appears to be able to show a higher-quality image on its 540x960 qHD resolution display, compared to the LG’s 800X480 screen.
