Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 arrives a day early

High-street electrical goods retailer Currys and PC World have announced the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be available a day before it is officially due to go on sale.

PC World’s London flagship Tottenham Court Road store will be selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, at 5pm on August 3rd.

The new sized Samsung WIFI tablet is exclusively being sold by the chain of shops, for the duration of a single month.

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 was launched at Mobile World Congress this year, running a dual core 1Ghz processor and Android ‘Honeycomb’ 3.0 – with the larger 10.1-inch screen that is a step up from the original 7-inch display.

A month later the company announced a third tablet, in the 8.9-inch version with a thinner 8.6mm chassis and a reworking of the larger device that matches the slimmer Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9's design.

Vodafone unveiled back in February they will be carrying the 10.1 variant, which they’ve subsequently dropped device and replaced it with the new more svelte model that both Currys and PC World will be stocking.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is available to pre-order from and, with a price attached of £399.99.
