International Business Machines has introduced the new WebSphere Application Server for enhanced business integration.
The company said that the new software will be capable of allowing businesses to boost application development and deliver them to end users with mobile devices, social networking and cloud computing.
The company’s business integration software is currently being used by Blue Cross Blue Shield, USAA, the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services and Homeloans Management Limited.
Some of the new features that come with the software include the ability to develop mobile and user friendly content which comes with interactive components like charts, gauges, maps, diagrams, buttons, lists, transitions and animations.
“The new software brings further major enhancements in all important aspects such as programming models, performance, ease-of-use and operational efficiency,” Joachim Gucker, COO of ARS Computer and Consulting GmbH, said.
“Looking ahead it is clear that WebSphere will play an important role in helping us to continue meeting the evolving needs of customers,” he added.
IBM also said that the new software comes with support for a wide range of smartphones and tablet devices including the iPad, iPhone, Droid and BlackBerry. Users will be able to deliver applications with the same look, feel and user experience as the device.
